Lil Durk was found not guilty. On September 11, a Los Angeles jury declared the "All My Life" rapper not guilty of all counts in a murder-for-hire trial, concluding that the 33-year-old was not accountable for Saviay'a Robinson's 2022 shooting death.
In the case, Durk (actual name Durk Banks) had entered a not guilty plea to five charges, including planning a murder-for-hire and stalking.
According to The New York Times, Durk was accused by prosecutors of being "consumed with revenge" over the killing of his friend King Von (real name Dayvon Bennett), who was shot and killed in Atlanta in 2020 after fighting with associates of rapper Quando Rondo (real name Tyquian Bowman).

According to Rolling Stone, gunmen attacked the "Scarred from Love" singer at a gas station next to the Beverly Center shopping mall and shot at least eighteen rounds from various weapons, including a machine gun. Prosecutors said that Durk used "coded language" to tell hitmen to kill Rondo.
Robinson, Rondo's cousin, was standing beside Rondo's car at the petrol station when he was shot and killed.
Several well-known musicians have shown support for Durk throughout his trial; on August 27, Kanye "Ye" West posed for pictures outside the courthouse while displaying a black T-shirt that said, "Free Durk," according to the Times.
According to reports, Machine Gun Kelly observed the events from an overflow room and later posted on social media, saying, "This been my bro for a decade."

OTF Vonnie (actual name Kavon Grant), who claimed that he was involved in another shooting that targeted Rondo in Georgia in 2021, was accused by Durk's attorneys of being the mastermind of the shooting, according to the Times.
In court, Durk's lawyer Marissa Goldberg contended that Vonnie believed that blaming Durk, who she claimed had "nothing to do with it," was his "only way out of jail." He wasn't present. "He had nothing to do with it," Rolling Stone reported.
