Lizzo responded to a rumor from an online user who alleged she had “talked s--t” about Taylor Swift.

As it happens, none of the rumors regarding Lizzo are accurate. Following being alleged of "taking s--t" about Taylor Swift by internet critics, the "Rumors" singer did, in fact, correct the record.

"The Life Of A Showgirl + MY FACE HURTS FROM SMILING — 4.005M," on May 22, an X user posted about Lizzo's 2025 compilation and Taylor's most recent album, titled. "ICEMAN + MAID OF HONOUR + HABIBTI — 683k."

"Can someone explain what this means?" Lizzo, 38, asked fans for clarity after resharing the photo, which also included a snippet from her "STFU" music video.

Lizzo fired in response following one X user told the Grammy winner that "it means all that s--t talking you did about Tay finally caught up to you,"

"Are you well?" she penned. "First of all I have never talked s--t about Taylor Swift— also while we on the subject I’ve never talked s--t about any artist. Just because I mention an artist by name does not mean I’m talking s--t— grow tf up pls."

The "Truth Hurts" rapper recently demonstrated that she has just love for the "Opalite" singer, even if the social media user did not elaborate on why they think Lizzo made fun of Taylor.

Despite everything, while promoting her new song, "BITCH," Lizzo (real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson) offered Taylor a heartfelt shoutout, admitting that she learned from Taylor.

"Shout-out to Meredith Brooks," she made reference to the singer's 1997 hit of the same name, which she incorporates into her tune, on the May 15 edition of Genius Verified. "I want the whole world to know that this is her record."

"I feel like that would’ve gotten lost in translation a little bit," Lizzo went on to say. "I was like, 'This is Lizzo’s version.'"

"You know how it's like, 'Taylor’s Version?'" she continued. "It's like, 'Bitch (Lizzo’s Version).'"

However, Lizzo has long backed Taylor.

The "Pink" artist has also drawn comparisons between herself and Taylor in terms of how they both use their personal lives—including relationships and breakups—as inspiration for their music.

"I'm Black Taylor Swift," When she appeared on the radio program The Breakfast Club in 2022, she made a joke. "I really am, I’m trifling."

"I don’t talk too badly about [an ex’s] character, it’s just what he do," she revealed. "I’ll be like, ‘He’s a good person, but this is what he did. Am I tripping?’ They’d be like, ‘You’re not tripping, you’re not tripping."

It is evident that Lizzo and Taylor have no animosity at all.
