Grace Wahlberg, the daughter of Mark Wahlberg, is regaining her footing. The 15-year-old daughter of the Ted actor revealed that she was in the hospital recuperating from an injury she had sustained at an equestrian contest.
Grace demonstrated that she is on the path to recovery by posting a picture of herself sitting in a hospital bed with her arm in a sling on Instagram on November 3 and adding, "No pressure we will be back."
Mark, who shares Grace with his wife Rhea Durham and their children Ella, 22, Michael, 19, Brendan, 17, and two prayer emojis, added two sobbing emoticons and a prayer emoji to her post, expressing his understandable concern for his daughter.
Naturally, Grace also shared some of the best parts of her competition, such as action shots of her moving through the competition grounds and pictures of her overcoming a number of challenges on her horse. Grace cheekily included a picture of Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans raising his arms in triumph to finish the post.
The adolescent has already shared details about her experience riding horses. After all, the majority of her social media posts showcase her accomplishments in the sport alongside horses Tippy Z, Chow, Cheeto, Special, and Zeppelin Blue.
Grace provided updates on her competition and horses even while she recuperated.
“Tippy Z puts in multiple clear rounds in the 1.35/1.40 $25,000 platinum jumper championship to finish up 7th individually,” in a post on November 4, she gushed. “Thank you, queen Tipp.”
She became tearful in another post over not being able to practice or compete right now.
“Special couldn't be any more special,” in a recent post, the teenager showcased her relationship with the horse. “Wishing I could be in the ring with him.”
For his part, the Boogie Nights alum finds it more difficult to enjoy the sport. After all, he admitted that he finds it difficult to care for his daughter while she is competing.
The 54-year-old posted a video to Instagram in 2024 showing him in a panic as he watched his daughter ride her horse past challenges. He captioned the photo, “I’ve never been more nervous, anxious, or stressed at any sporting event in my life.”
