More details about Natasha Lyonne's recent travel disaster are being shared. The Poker Face actress revealed that a sleeping drug she had taken affected her experience three days after being kicked off a Delta flight for allegedly disobeying flight attendants' directions.
“I took a Lunesta once seated, to ensure some shut eye on the Delta One red eye flight to NYC,” on April 10, Natasha stated on X. “Boarded seamlessly with just a backpack and sneakers, eager for a nap.”
The 47-year-old mentioned that she would be appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show. “Plan was to be bushy tailed & beauty rested, as I was meant to head straight to glam for a slot with our beloved @DrewBarrymore upon landing.”
Although Natasha was hoping to have "an in-depth convo" with her friend Drew Barrymore, Page Six reports that the Russian Doll actress was kicked off the flight on April 7 after crew members accused her of failing to buckle up and turn off her laptop.
According to the site, the aircraft returned to the gate, where Natasha was escorted off, even though it had already started taxiing to the runway.
Natasha claimed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was involved in her April 10 message on X, stating, "I guess ICE had other plans & I was detained."
Additionally, she stated to her fellow travelers, “Apologies to any travelers who were delayed.”
A Delta representative was contacted by media sources for comment, but they have not received a response.
However, at the end, Natasha traveled to New York City to see the premiere of Lorne, a documentary about Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, on April 9. She later lauded the film after hanging out with current cast member Sarah Sherman and SNL alum Seth Meyers after the screening.
"Beautiful documentary on Lorne by Morgan Neville,” on April 9, she tweeted on X., “Laughed a whole lot."
