NCC Data Rollover, a Good Policy, Begins June 26

The plan for telecom operators in Nigeria to have rollover is a very important phase of improving our telecommunication services. As I have noted many times, Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), the telecom regulator, remains the most efficient government agency at the moment. It continues to innovate, improving efficiencies despite managing one of the largest and challenging industries in the nation. With this rollover, people will not lose credits they have paid for. Rollover is fair because once you have paid for it, it should belong to you: time does not need to restrict the usage. The rollover kicks off from June 26, 2018.

The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has directed operators in the telecommunication industry to begin data rollover from June 26.

This means telecom operators must henceforth add a subscriber’s unused or unfinished data to his/her new or next data subscription.

Before this new directive from the NCC, subscribers’ unfinished or unused data subscription automatically became useless to them as soon as it hit the expiry date
