NFT must evolve, otherwise you have a bubble!
In Nigeria, wealth remains in atoms while bytes are the future. Yes, there is no way you can make real money in Nigeria without linking your operations to the physical space. And that happens because some of the money-heavy and cash-loaded Nigerians have not come to the web at scale. A Mastercard report noted that more than 90%* of all purchases, from consumers to companies/vendors, still happen in cash, in Nigeria. And those payments run into hundreds of billions of dollars yearly.
In America, even though they have digitized payment. Yet, 90% of all purchases happen in person, according to Stripe. So, if you check, wealth remains in atoms and the physical space.
What does that tell us, especially in Nigeria? If you want to make NFT (non-fungible tokens) a business, you need to add a physical layer because even though you can own that stream, every Ovim kid will tell you that going to fetch water in Tantuta stream is a lot of climbing a hill. Period, NFT must evolve, otherwise you have a bubble!
