Nigeria unveils a new national carrier - ‘Nigeria Air’.
The Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, disclosed this at the ongoing Farnborough International Air Show in UK. The airline will gulp $8.8 million preliminary cost and $300 million as take-off cost, reports Premium Times.
"The Nigerian Government will not own more than 5% (maximum) of the new National Carrier. Government will not be involved in running it or deciding who runs it.” Hadi Sirika
Hello Ethiopian Airlines! We do not need to travel to UK for this one. Ethiopia will gladly take care of this if indeed Nigeria will agree. African governments that need help on setting up airlines should not go to UK; take a trip to Addis Ababa – we have one of the best in the world right in Africa. From Virgin to whatever, they have seen red but the land of Sheba continues to grow on fly higher.
