Nigeria's D'Tigers, the men's national basketball team, is going to Tokyo for the 2020 Olympic games. The team defeated China during the FIBA World Cup in China, winning 86-73. It was not a piece of cake as China needed to win to get an automatic qualification to Tokyo. Nigeria was just better. Congratulations to the team.
China are the host of the FIBA World Cup and needed a victory to pick the qualifying ticket for Asia.
However, it was D’Tigers that prevailed as they romped to a decisive 86-73 victory over their opponents.
