Patrick Muldoon, known for his role on Days of Our Lives, has died at the age of 57.

A startling loss has left Hollywood in grief. Variety was informed by Patrick Muldoon's manager that he unexpectedly passed away on April 19. Muldoon was well-known for his appearances on Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place. He was fifty-seven.

Shana Muldoon-Zappa, Muldoon's sister, informed TMZ that the actor passed away after a heart attack while taking a shower at home. Muldoon-Zappa claimed that Miriam Rothbart, her brother's girlfriend, found out.

Muldoon started his acting career with a two-episode part in the series Who's the Boss although he was still a student at the University of Southern California, where he played football.

After graduating, he gained even more notoriety in a three-episode arc on Saved by the Bell as Jeffrey Hunter, Kelly Kapowski's former boyfriend played by Tiffani Thiessen.

Muldoon played Austin Reed on the soap drama Days of Our Lives from 1992 till 1995. More than ten years later, in 2011 and 2012, he came back to play the part.

From 1995 to 1996, the actor played villain Richard Hart on Melrose Place.

One of his most significant appearances on the big screen was Zander Baraclow in the 1997 film Starship Troopers. In addition, he co-starred with Bruce Willis in the 2021 film Deadlock and made appearances in several Hallmark and Lifetime films. Later this year, his most recent film, Dirty Hands, a thriller about a botched drug trade, will be released.

Throughout his career, the Los Angeles native also produced a variety of movies, such as Riff Raff, The Tribes of Palos Verdes, Arkansas, Marlowe, The Card Counter, and The Dreadful. The movie Kockroach, which is presently in production and stars Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz, and Alec Baldwin, was his most recent producing endeavor.

Muldoon hailed the movie on Instagram just two days before he passed away, stating, "So excited to be a part of this amazing project KOCKROACH," and confirming that filming had begun in Australia.

Muldoon's parents, Patrick Muldoon, Sr. and Deanna Muldoon, as well as his brother-in-law, Ahmet Zappa, niece Halo Zappa, and nephew Arrow Zappa, survive him along with his partner and sister.

Muldoon's acquaintances told Deadline that he was known to his loved ones as "Bobo," “endlessly generous with his poetry, his humor, and his unmistakable presence.”

They also mentioned Muldoon “loved animals and people alike, gave unforgettable hugs, and possessed a rare quality of making others feel safe and seen. Stylish, charismatic, and full of life, he embraced each day with a full-tilt, rock ’n’ roll spirit.”
