Perez Hilton is getting assistance. Following claims that the 48-year-old celebrity blogger had self-harmed during a TikTok livestream on August 4, police were called to his Miami home, and he was admitted to the hospital.

"The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls regarding an individual who was livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media," in a statement on August 5, investigators informed publications. "Deputies quickly located the individual’s residence, where they spoke with family members on scene, and confirmed he was alone inside."

Authorities reported that they were able to establish communication in the meantime.

“The individual has been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention,” in a subsequent statement, police informed media sources. “The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals are also on scene providing support and resources to the individual’s family.”

As reported by NBC News, Hilton seemed to be covered in blood and carrying what was reported to be a knife on the TikTok streaming video, which has since been removed.

Soon after, Hilton representatives stated that they were "aware of the concerning content circulating online involving" the podcaster in question.

“At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him,” Dante Rusciolelli and Rebekah Kochan, co-CEOs of Golden Artists Entertainment, informed the press in a statement. “Our primary concern is Perez's health and wellbeing, as well as the well-being of his family. Until we have confirmed information, we will not speculate or comment further.”

“We appreciate everyone's concern,” they continued, “and ask that his privacy be respected during this time.”

Hilton, a father of three, provided a health report earlier this year following a 21-day hospital stay for sepsis.

"I'm so happy," Hilton (real name Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr.) stated in an Instagram video on April 2. "I'm so grateful, because this is a blessing from God. We caught this early. Let me tell you what happened. I went to see my surgeon today—really good time. God! Last night I started having real soreness and pain in one of my legs, and this morning it got way worse. I couldn't even walk; I had to use my walker."

Hilton clarified that in order to determine whether he had a blood clot, his surgeon had sent him back to the hospital for an ultrasound.

"And I do," he revealed. "I have a deep vein thrombosis. I'm so thankful to God that we caught this early because, if that blood clot had gone to my lungs or my heart, it could've been real bad."

He continued by expressing gratitude to everyone who helped him during his week-long visit.

"I'm happy,” Hilton revealed, “because we caught it early, and I know the amazing medical team here at Southern Hills is gonna make this a piece of cake, and God has got me."

Perez uploaded a follow-up video the next day to confirm that his treatment had gone according to plan.

"Just got out of surgery and everything went so well!!" at the moment, he said. "Good Friday indeed."
