Pink is embarking on a road to recovery at the beginning of the new year. In 2026, the singer of "What About Us" called from the hospital, where she was awaiting neck surgery.
"I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025," on December 31, she started with a long Instagram post. "This year was a doozy for all of us, and it ran the spectrum from absolutely devastating too mildly annoying."
"And I end the year giving reverence to, paying attention to, and to fixing my body," she added. "It may not be a fancy Face lift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck. A new scar, a new reminder, that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all it’s worth."
Pink, who is married to Carey Hart and has two children, Willow, 14, and Jameson, 8, hinted that "Rock 'n' roll is a contact sport," but she did not say how she hurt her neck.
"And as I sit here by myself on New Year’s Eve in a hospital room while my family is happily snowboarding," the 46-year-old revealed, "I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice that I have made."
Pink claimed to have discovered "so much beauty" despite her difficult year. In her words, "I got to wake up every day and get out of bed and go about my business. The business of loving my children and helping them to follow their dreams. Showing them that life is an adventure or nothing at all."
And for that reason, despite being admitted to the hospital, the Grammy winner is trying to see the good side.
"I will work this year to help preserve the choices of others to make for themselves and their families and this very pursuit of happiness," she penned. "I choose joy and I leave behind the hurt. I’m going to choose positive thoughts over negative ones. And I’m going to rage against the dying of the light. I’m going to reclaim my wild. And I’m going to keep searching for the light, even as I experience the darkness."
In a message to her followers, she concluded, "Happy new year and may you experience more joy than sorrow, more sunshine than rain, more love than hatred."
