Savannah Chrisley revealed that her younger sister, Chloe, was still in shock after hearing about their parents' pardon. She mentioned that Chloe was hesitant to get her hopes up, fearing that something bad might happen. However, Savannah expressed excitement about bringing her father home to Chloe.
“Chloe, I think, is still in shock,” during On Balance May 28, Savannah told NewsNation's Leland Vittert about the 12-year-old, for whom she had taken on the role of primary guardian when her parents were imprisoned. “She doesn't want to get her hopes up, because she feels like something bad is going to is going to happen. But I'm excited to be going to get my dad and bringing him home to her. We're excited.”
The reality personality and her ex-partner Teresa Terry share a biological daughter, Chloe, who is the child of Todd's son Kyle Chrisley. While Kyle, who had recently become estranged from his father, was battling substance misuse, Todd and Julie adopted Chloe in 2016.
Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022 and had been serving their sentences until President Trump granted them a full pardon on May 27, 2025. Savannah, who had been advocating for their release, shared that she was overwhelmed with gratitude and disbelief when she received a personal call from Trump informing her of the decision.
Kyle said in his May 27 statement that he was "ecstatic" over the news of his parents' pardon, adding, "I just found out a little bit ago and I still just cannot believe it."
Kyle expressed his aspirations for the future while also complimenting Savannah on her hard work in assisting in the return of her parents.
"I know they can't wait to get home and just be with family," the 33-year-old also mentioned, "and I'm going to remain hopeful that another reconciliation is possible."
She also noted that preparations were underway to welcome her parents back home, including getting their room ready and gathering clothes for them. Chloe, being just 12 years old, had been under Savannah’s care since Todd and Julie reported to prison in January 2023.
“We’re getting some clothes together for mom and dad,” In an Instagram video posted on May 27, she shared. “Getting their room put together upstairs. And I’m just speechless. I can’t thank you guys enough for sticking with my family along the way and for loving us and supporting us.”
The host of the Unlocked podcast, like Chloe, expressed her incredulity at the realization that her efforts were finally bearing fruit.
“It still doesn’t feel real,” She acknowledged. “I’m gonna go and prepare to go pick up my parents. And I just can’t thank you guys enough. They’re coming home. My parents get to start their lives over. They get to start their lives over with a clean slate.”
It's certainly an emotional moment for the Chrisley family. What are your thoughts on this development?
