Sebastian Bach is recalling his wild youth spent with Christina Applegate. In fact, Sebastian addressed the media hysteria following the Bad Moms star's revelation that she "dumped" Brad Pitt for the Skid Row frontman in her new novel You With the Sad Eyes.

Sebastian, 57, informed Billboard in an interview that was released on March 12 that he "was very surprised when that all hit" after reading the headlines. “I was a single guy on tour, in a band, and I met a lot of girls, and I apologize if I hurt her…if I hurt anybody.”

“When you’re young you get thrown into the whirlwind of rock ‘n’ roll, meeting a lot of people and you better hold on tight,” he continued. “It’s like being on a roller coaster…It was a long time ago. If I hurt anybody, I apologize for it.”

His remarks follow Christina, 54, giving an inside look at her brief romance with Brad.

“We had been platonic pals for the longest time,” Christina wrote about their affair in her book, which was published on March 3. “He’d often swing by my 750-square-foot row house with a tiny door, and we’d have barbecues and hang out, always part of a much bigger group.”

However, despite their modest beginnings as friends, Christina, who was 17 at the time, quickly began to develop deeper feelings for the 25-year-old F1 actor.

“One day, I took another look at Brad and thought, ‘Hmm,” she clarified. “Apparently he did the same.”

The two soon made their now-famous appearance at the 1989 MTV Music Awards, where Christina disclosed that she was drawn to the "18 and Life" hitmaker.

“I felt so powerful and sure of myself for once that when the awards show was over, I left with Sebastian Bach, not Brad Pitt,” Christina, who is married to Martyn LeNoble and has a 15-year-old daughter named Sadie, admits. “I hate to put it like this, but Brad back then was still making his way as an actor, and he wasn’t yet the Brad Pitt, the man of so many people’s dreams.”

The Fight Club actor seemed to have a bad taste in his mouth from the evening. After all, the two avoided each other after the award ceremony, when Brad had to drive Christina's mother Nancy Priddy and her best friend at the time, Johnny Depp's ex-wife Lori Allison, home without Christina.

According to Christina, “We didn’t talk for many years after that.”

However, the MS advocate claims that she and Brad are now getting along better. She later acknowledged in her novel that she never had a romantic relationship with Sebastian.

“Eventually, we agreed that I’d been a kid,” she said, “and though he’d deserved much better, it was time to forgive the child who dumped him for the lead singer of Skid Row.”
