Serena Williams reveals that she and her Meghan Markle grew closer through shared appreciation for food.

Serena Williams and Meghan Markle have truly bonded over their shared love of food and gardening. Serena recently revealed that she and Meghan trade recipes, showcasing their culinary creativity. Serena, who lives on a ranch in Florida, grows her own produce and even keeps bees for honey, while Meghan flaunts her gardening skills on her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. Their friendship, which began over a decade ago, has deepened through these shared hobbies and mutual support.

It's heartwarming to see such a strong connection between them. Do you enjoy cooking or gardening yourself?

“I’m always like, ‘Girl, what are you doing today?’” Serena, 43, said inside of Time’s 100 Most Influential People issue published April 15. “So, we’re trading recipes.”

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian have truly embraced the farm lifestyle on their sprawling five-acre ranch in Florida. Their family grows a variety of crops, including berries, tomatoes, and kale, ensuring fresh, homegrown meals. They also tend to their chickens, adding a touch of rustic charm to their daily lives. It's heartwarming to see how they've integrated farming into their routine, creating a wholesome environment for their daughters, Olympia and Adira.

It sounds like a dream setup—do you think you'd enjoy living on a farm like that? “I never thought I had a green thumb,” she continued, adding she’s now a beekeeper. “We get so much honey it’s insane.”

On a similar note, the Duchess of Sussex, 43 moms to Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, with Prince Harry flaunts her own gardening skills on her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. And while Serena didn’t reveal if she’s received any farming tips from her friend, their shared hobby would be a perfect moment to see in the show’s forthcoming second season.

Serena Williams has truly embraced her role as a mother since stepping back from tennis in September 2022. She often reflects on the joys and challenges of motherhood, proudly acknowledging her dedication to her daughters, Olympia and Adira. Serena has described herself as a "wonderful mom," emphasizing the importance of giving herself credit for the love and effort she pours into her family. From being the room mom at Olympia's school to bonding with Adira, she cherishes every moment of motherhood.

Her journey is a testament to her resilience and ability to balance her passions with family life. It's inspiring to see how she continues to thrive in this new chapter.

“I’m a wonderful mom,” she explained. “I think we, as women, don’t give ourselves credit, but I’m a great mom. I really am. I do everything. I’m freaking the room mom at Olympia’s school this year.”

Serena Williams and Princess Lilibet shared a heartwarming moment in March, captured in a video posted by Meghan Markle on Instagram. The duo played Candy Land together, showcasing Serena's playful "auntie mode." Meghan accompanied the video with a sweet caption, celebrating their bond and the upcoming launch of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. It's lovely to see Serena extending her nurturing spirit beyond her own family to Meghan's children.
