A life has been lost in an awful incident. A construction worker who had been working on creating the stage perished in an accident on April 26 before to Shakira's May 2 "Todo Mundo No Rio" concert in Rio, Brazil, according to a social media announcement from the event organizers.
“First responders provided initial care at the scene, and the Fire Department was immediately called to transport the patient,” the phrase was interpreted from Portuguese. “Unfortunately, the professional passed away at the hospital.”
The organizers came to the conclusion that “At this time, we are providing all support, comfort, and solidarity to the responsible company, its team, and the victim's family.”
The construction worker sustained "crushing injuries to his lower limbs in a lifting system," according to the local fire department (CBMERJ), which told People that by the time the emergency teams arrived, the worker had already been taken off the machinery.
"Military personnel from the ambulance service of the 3rd Maritime Group (GMAR-Copacabana) immediately began pre-hospital care on the victim,” the statement went on, “who was then transported to the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital. Despite the efforts of the rescue teams, death was confirmed."
The stage, which is being constructed on Copacabana Beach, is anticipated to attract a sizable number of guests and the singer's admirers.
Antonio Marcos Ferreira dos Santos, a 51-year-old eyewitness, gave a description of the collision.
"Out of nowhere, we saw people running, and when we looked, the structure was on the ground," according to France 24, he informed an AFP outlet. "People were saying that a man had gotten trapped underneath. People rushed over to pull him out."
Earlier that day, Shakira said she was looking forward to the event, but she hasn't yet publicly acknowledged the terrible disaster. However, on April 26, Shakira first sent Gabriel de Jesus Firmino's family a poignant message via the Todo Mundo No Rio post, saying, "We received this news with great sadness, and we leave here our condolences to the family of Gabriel de Jesus Firmino."
“Almost there, Rio!!!” on April 25, she posted on Instagram. “Prepping so many surprises for you: guest artists, new wardrobe, songs you’ll love to hear… Can’t wait to be there…”
The Copacabana Beach scene was referred to as the "altar do planeta," or the "altar of the planet," in her final caption.
