Shaquille O’Neal Reveals Why He Was Deemed Too Recognizable for Avengers Role.

One of Shaquille O'Neal's ideals has been interrupted. The NBA veteran said that he wants to do more onscreen, but there's only one issue, despite the fact that he has satisfied his acting itch in a number of comedic flicks, including four Adam Sandler features.
“I would love to do more action roles but we were told by top Hollywood executives that I’m too big,” in an August 21 interview with Variety, Shaq stated, “and what they mean by that is when I pop up on the screen everyone will go, ‘Oh, that’s Shaq!’”
The 54-year-old continued, “So, if I’m trying to play a doctor or anything, my character won’t be believable.”
The basketball Hall of Famer nonetheless made his shot despite this. He did, in fact, claim to have requested Marvel to star in their largest superhero franchise.
“I wanted to be in the Avengers and they were like, ‘Shaq, we f--kin’ love you and we’d love to put you in, but if your face pops up on screen people are going to go, ‘Hey, that’s Shaq!’” he clarified. “He said it truthfully, and I was like, ‘Alright… I guess my face is too bigtime.’”
Shaq had been pursuing his ambition in the (Marvel movie) universe for almost ten years, so it was difficult for him to accept that reality.
“I would love to be in one of the Avengers movies,” in 2018, he informed publications. “I would like to kick Robert Downey Jr.’s ass.”

Now that Shaq's Marvel ambitions have come to an end, he is focused on costarring with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
“I want to do a movie with The Rock so I can beat him up,” in his Variety interview, he came clean. He joked about whether he could defeat The Rock. “Oh, easy! Barbecue chicken.”
