Steve Harvey is grieving a devastating loss. According to ABC 24 Memphis, the Family Feud host paid a heartfelt homage to his father-in-law James Bridges Sr., who passed away on June 1 at the age of 91.

"Yesterday we buried one of the best men I’ve ever met, James Bridges Sr., Marjorie’s father," Steve posted a picture of his father-in-law grinning on Instagram on June 5. "But to me, Pop Bridges."

The television star continued by thanking James for being an "example of faith, fatherhood, and family."

"Thank you my love," Marjorie Harvey, Steve's wife, wrote in response to her husband's touching message about her father. She also included a praised hands symbol.

And in the wake of the death, the couple—who have four other children from past marriages, including Lori, 29, Jason, 31, and Morgan, 41—are receiving support from loved ones.

"Oh, I’m so sorry to hear this. Such a beautiful man sending our condolences to you and your family," Holly Robinson Peete, a 21 Jump Street alum, left a remark on Steve's page, and Todd Chrisley, star of Chrisley Knows Best, stated, "God bless you [a]nd your family my friend."

In the meantime, Lori is experiencing the psychological effects of her grandfather's passing.

"My sweetiepie grandaddy. It’s been a week since you left. The hardest week of my life," the model posted a slideshow of pictures of her grandfather taken throughout the years on Instagram on June 9. "I miss you every second of every day. I love you I love you I love you. Until we meet again."

In the feedback area, the 29-year-old received affection and encouragement from her close pals, such as Janelle Monae, Laura Harrier, and Hailey Bieber.

James was recognized by his Memphis, Tennessee, community in addition to being celebrated with affection by his family.

As reported by ABC 24 Memphis, a portion of Bullington Avenue between South Parkway East and Taylor Street is now referred to as "James A. Bridges, Sr. Avenue," a street intersection that the city named in James' honor.

Additionally, Steve's late father-in-law was not a famous person, even though he and his wife attended the dedication event and had previously attended similar street naming events.

As he stressed, "This is the first time I've been to a street naming of a person just cause he was a great man."
