Time To Rebrand - Machine Learning Engineer

Time to rebrand: if you are known as a Data Scientist, it is time to update it to Machine Learning Engineer. If you do just that, and you are hired, you are sure of extra 15-30% on your paycheck. Machine Learning Engineer is to modern Data Science what Industrial Chemistry is to Chemistry: the latter cohort is about the fundamentals, the former set is massively SCALING the product vision in the market. Sure - you still need to know the stuff!

“Several years ago one of the hottest jobs in the industry was data scientist,” Lorica said during his keynote yesterday. “And that’s still a very attractive job. Although I have to say the term data scientist has become muddled a little bit.”
