Watch Teddi Mellencamp's Heartfelt Response to Acquiring a Stylish Wig While Fighting Cancer.

A new era is beginning for Teddi Mellencamp. After receiving a stage four cancer diagnosis in 2025 after a stage two melanoma was discovered in 2022, the former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills underwent a dramatic hair makeover after treatment that caused her to lose her hair. And after she visited a posh hairdresser to try on a huge blonde wig Fans were able to witness the Wig Fairy's emotional response to the new look.

"This is already so much more comfortable. Oh my gosh, this looks so much better. It actually looks like it's coming out of my head!" in a June 11 Instagram photo, Mellencamp yelled. "I'm getting emotional. I like it so much more."

The host of the Two Ts In A Pod podcast even acknowledged that the lively locks were superior to her own hair, which is now growing back after being shorn off for operation to remove tumors the size of plums from her brain.

Mellencamp, who is the mother of Slate, 12, Cruz, 11, and Dove, 6, with her former partner Edwin Arroyave, appeared particularly thrilled about being able to style her hair in various ways, such as a ponytail, which she described as "such a game-changer."

"I'm so happy," Mellencamp clapped her hands and admitted on the salon chair, later saying, "I love it so much!"

Additionally, Mellencamp has provided updates on her health this month in addition to her hair makeover. On June 2, she released a patient day-in-the-life clip on Instagram.

“So ever since I was diagnosed with stage four cancer, I get immunotherapy monthly,” Mellencamp gave an explanation in the video. “And I was getting CAT scans and MRIs monthly, but this past time, they decided they’re going to wait three to four months in between the test. This has created such a nervous, raging anxiety inside of me.”

Mellencamp was nervous before the visit, but by the end of the video, she was ready to convey the positive outcomes her doctor had given her.

"The scans show no evidence of tumor in your body,” the practitioner of Mellencamp informed her. “When you came, you had tumors in your brain and in your lungs. We don’t see those now. There’s evidence that you had treatment and there’s evidence that immunotherapy has helped you.”

Mellencamp was officially certified to be in remission after receiving "the best outcome we could hope for," according to the doctor. If this condition is maintained for three years, it can indicate a 95 percent survival rate for individuals such as Mellencamp.

While she heals, John Mellencamp's daughter is enjoying time with family and friends like Tamra Judge. In April, she went to see her oldest child compete in horseback riding and celebrated the birthday of her youngest.

"Last year I was in the hospital and missed Dove’s birthday party," on March 1, Mellencamp published a joyous post. "This year I wasn’t going to let the same thing happen. So grateful and emotional that I get to celebrate six with her."
