Google AlphaGo moves 2nd in Go Ranking

0

Humans are being outsmarted by AI.

Over the past few days, Google’s Deepmind machine-learning team secretively put its AlphaGo artificial intelligence system onto two Chinese online board-game platforms to test its skill in fast-paced games against several of the world’s best Go players. It took a nickname “Master”. Over the same period, it recorded 60 wins and no defeat.

With that, AlphaGo has moved 2nd in the ranking below Ke Jie it has defeated three times and no loss. In just few weeks now, AlphaGo will be the #1.

AI continues to evolve as a superior specie and humans should be concerned.

Nomura analysts estimate iPhone 8 to eclipse iPhone 6 records

0

iPhone 8 will be very huge. Analysts at Nomura estimate that a “supercycle” will develop in the last three months of 2017 that will make iPhone 8 a much, much bigger product than iPhone 6. They do think that the success of this new phone will be huge.

This next supercycle “seems well underappreciated,” analysts Jeffrey Kvaal and Gregory McNiff wrote. Their forecast is higher than the consensus of their peers:

“Consensus calls for 80 million iPhones in F1Q18 (Dec ’17) … only modestly above the iPhone 6 supercycle (75 million). However, we estimate the iPhone 8 will launch into an iOS subscriber base 45-50% larger than the iPhone 6 did and model 86 million iPhones in F1Q18 (from 83 million).”

Apple is expected to launch iPhone 8 late this year of early 2018.

How to spend less and double value on Facebook Advertising for Nigerian companies

0

Facebook advertisement has become increasingly expensive. We mean it is not cheap. Unlike in the past, you need real budget to have impact on Facebook because big brands are spending huge there and nothing for small companies.

But there is a way especially if you are in Nigeria. On average, you double your reach for the same amount of money if you post your advert from Nigeria and in Nigerian naira. Facebook is providing a kind of “discount” over currency exchange rate.

We want to post this advert on Facebook and these are the options:

  1. Facebook delivers an option to pay in Nairal. Notice below that N5,000 will get you around 9,000 to 23,000 people.

2. Now flip the currency to dollar which ideally is $10 (for N5,000) using the black market rate. At $10, you get 5000 to 14,000 people. On average this is half of the value for N5,000.

We do think Facebook is using an exchange rate in the neighborhood of N250-N300 per dollar. But if you have dollar, you can easily exchange for N500 or more. It is better you run your campaign in naira. Nigerian advertising houses can make this distinction to their foreign partners. They will get more value running campaigns in naira over USD.

For our campaign, we want you to enroll on facyber for your cybersecurity program.
