Strategy, the company formerly known as MicroStrategy and led by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, has purchased an additional 811 bitcoin for approximately $65.5 million.
The acquisition took place between October 26 and November 1 at an average price of about $80,846 per bitcoin, according to a SEC filing released Monday.
The latest buy brings Strategy’s total bitcoin holdings to 849,327 BTC. The firm accumulated those coins at a total cost of roughly $64.1 billion, for an average purchase price of $75,451 per bitcoin.

At current market levels, the position is valued near $65.9 billion and represents more than 4% of bitcoin’s maximum supply of 21 million coins.
Strategy financed the purchase primarily through at-the-market sales of its Class A common stock, raising about $164 million by selling roughly 1.18 million shares.
In the same period, the company also repurchased nearly $208 million of its STRC preferred shares. STRC is a perpetual preferred stock issued by Strategy.
It carries a stated amount of $100 per share and ranks senior to common stock (MSTR) but junior to debt and the more senior preferred series STRF. It is not convertible into common shares and has no maturity date or sinking-fund requirement.
As of late 2026, the rate stands at 12.00% per annum on the $100 stated amount (equating to $12 annually per share at the current rate).
As of late October / early November 2026 data, STRC traded near $99–$100 with an effective yield around 12.1%. Outstanding notional value stood in the $8.1–$8.4 billion range after earlier buybacks reduced the amount from peaks above $10 billion.
Average daily trading volume has been substantial (around $165 million in recent 30-day figures). Strategy uses proceeds from preferred issuance primarily to acquire Bitcoin and manage its capital structure.
The company holds hundreds of thousands of BTC among the largest corporate treasuries and positions Bitcoin as “digital capital,” MSTR as “digital equity” (amplified Bitcoin exposure plus ownership of the credit business), and STRC as the complementary income product.
Shareholders approved the daily dividend structure in late October 2026. The change aims to smooth trading (eliminating larger ex-dividend price drops associated with bigger periodic payments), improve the product’s appeal as a short-duration high-yield instrument, and support liquidity and demand.
A formal Digital Credit Capital Framework (announced June 2026) formalized USD reserve policies, repurchase authorizations, and related tools. STRC is preferred equity, not a bond, bank deposit, or FDIC-insured product.
Saylor has positioned STRC as a scalable “digital credit” product that could appeal to income-focused investors while funding further Bitcoin accumulation without the same dilution dynamics as common equity issuance.
It has grown into one of the largest and most liquid preferred stocks, with significant secondary-market activity.
The daily dividend feature and ongoing promotional efforts, including the lifestyle-oriented video, underscore the push to make the product more accessible and attractive in everyday investor experience.
As of November 1, Strategy reported holding approximately $4.9 billion in USD-denominated assets. The move continues Strategy’s long-running bitcoin treasury strategy.
Saylor has consistently framed bitcoin as the company’s primary reserve asset, and the firm has made regular purchases for years.
The latest BTC addition follows a brief pause the previous week and arrives as Strategy continues to balance bitcoin accumulation with capital-structure management, including preferred-share repurchases and maintaining a sizable dollar reserve.
Saylor highlighted the purchase on social media with a characteristic note about finding “room for even more orange,” underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to increasing its bitcoin position.
