The winner of Nigeria’s 2023 Presidency must draw new electoral maps

Rabiu Kwankwaso was in Borno State  yesterday; he commissioned the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP)’s office and launched NNPP activities in the state. Despite massive rain, the believers showed up. Kwankwaso is the presidential flagbearer for NNPP in Nigeria 2023 elections.

The former governor  of Kano State overcame stupid political own-goals by the state government which sealed the party office but later reversed when  citizens protested. APC’s vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, is from Borno State.

This outing has shown one clear sign: among Atiku, Obi and Tinubu, anything can happen. Even Borno State is not safe for APC despite the success of Governor Zulum (governor is becoming too political these days; never imagined he would approve to seal an opponent’s campaign office! So, if NNPP eats into some of these strongholds, APC and PDP will need new maps to win. Nigerians are looking for change and this election will surprise many.

1 THOUGHT ON The winner of Nigeria’s 2023 Presidency must draw new electoral maps

  1. For now, Peter Obi’s Labour Party has a clearer path to Aso Rock, if NNPP remains strong; anyone telling you otherwise is living in denial, and he/she knows it.

The people who say they have structures are panicking when the same people they termed social media people want to do a physical march. One was called off in Kaduna yesterday, the same Kaduna where a sitting governor claimed that 200 people wouldn’t turn up for a march; we are seeing all the drama.

APC is banking on NE and NW, PDP is banking on same, NNPP is making the same case, so how will these three parties win at the same time? Nobody has solved that riddle yet, but they have the zones ‘locked’ in.

Some people are still waiting to be mobilized, because their own support is based on mobilization fees. Some hired unintelligent people as proxies and surrogates, just comics everywhere.

Lack of humility is what will send some parties and candidates into oblivion, they thought they know the game and understand politics so well; soon they will learn that the numbers don’t add up. Of course arithmetic is never a strong point of an average Nigerian, so they don’t even know how poorly they are rated right now.

    Game on…
