In actuality, Billy Bob Thornton still harbors feelings for Angelina Jolie. Thornton recently revealed that despite their divorce, the Landman actor and Maleficent star, who were wed from 2000 to 2003, have remained close.
“Angelina and I had a great time together,” the 70-year-old stated in an interview with Rolling Stone that was released on November 17. “That was one of the greatest times of my life. She and I are still very, very close friends.”
The Oscar winner stated that he and Jolie, 50, had “a really civilized breakup” with their differences in lifestyles being the reason for their split. Thornton, who has been married six times, acknowledges that the craze surrounding their marriage "was pretty weird" when he looks back on it.

“When we met, I was the more famous one,” he stated. “And then when we got together, for some reason, the people and the media are very interested in celebrity couples, that seems to be a very popular thing.”
He remembered that the two "could not go anywhere" and that their words "became sound bites" when they did. Consider the moment they disclosed that they had worn vials of each other's blood, something they have long maintained was never true.
“We each had a little locket, literally with a drop of blood in them,” he clarified. “That’s a romantic little idea, and that’s all that was. But by the time it’s over, we’re vampires. We live in a dungeon, we drink each other’s blood, and this kind of stuff.”
