Russell Dickerson disclosed that Keith Urban, his friend, is a warrior. Keith's country music colleague provided an update on his well-being three months after Nicole Kidman and the singer of "Somebody Like You," who have two daughters together, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, finalized their split.
“He’s always been focused on music, and so I think he’s just kind of doubling down on that, and it’s just beautiful,” following the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 26, Russell informed Page Six. “I can’t wait to hear what comes out of it.”
Russell said he was unable to spend "tons of time" with Keith, despite the fact that the country music icons were able to interact at the Country-to-Country festival in mid-March. However, Russell claimed that the "Blue Ain't Your Color" hitmaker "seemed in good spirits" during the times they did spend together.
“I’ve toured with all of them,” he made reference to the biggest stars in the nation. “But Keith Urban is my guy.”
The latest version on Keith follows the 58-year-old Nicole's statement that she was "all right" following the couple's January divorce after 19 years of marriage.
"I am, because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good," on March 11, she tells Variety. "What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect."
Nicole, who is also the mother of Isabella Cruise, 32, and Connor Cruise, 30, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, stressed that coparenting their girls is her first concern.
"I’m staying in a place of, 'We are a family,'" she stated, "and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women."
In September, Nicole filed for divorce just one day after news organizations discovered that they had been living apart "since the beginning of the summer."
After three months, the couple decided on a custody arrangement for their children and completed their divorce. According to documents leaked by news sources at the time, the "One Too Many" singer would spend every other weekend with their daughters, whereas the Big Little Lies star will spend 306 days a year with them.
Even though Nicole's split is causing a significant change in her life, she revealed that her home is one thing that won't change.
“We have our life here,” Nicole gave her explanation for staying in Nashville, Tennessee. “I’m part of the city and community for 20 years. It’s my home.”
