Charli XCX weds George Daniel of The 1975 in a town hall ceremony on July 19.

This year's brat summer looks a little different because, as seen in social media photos, Charli XCX, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, married The 1975 drummer George Daniel on July 19 at London's Hackney Town Hall, rather than going from club to club wearing her lime green accessories.

The "Party 4 U" singer wore a cinched waist and corseted bodice off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood wedding dress for the event. To match Charli's bouquet, the record producer wore a traditional black suit with a white boutonnière.

Before the Grammy winner put on her trademark sunglasses and left the venue, the couple sealed the deal with a kiss on the town hall's front steps after exchanging vows.

In November 2023, Charli quietly revealed her engagement on social media by posting a picture of a tea tray with an engagement ring on it to her Instagram with the message, "Charli xcx and George Daniel f--king for life!!!" This was followed by the couple's private ceremony.

Additionally, The 1975 frontman wrote, "I cry," to celebrate their engagement at the time, despite Matty Healy not being seen at their wedding. To go back even farther, Daniel, 35, and Charli, 32, met in 2021 while collaborating on the song "Spinning." The two have also kept up their musical collaborations in spite of their romance—despite the advantages and disadvantages of working with your significant other.

She told Rolling Stone U.K., "We want to impress each other, and we think we're both really good," "but I'm actually such a b---h in the studio with George." he said last year.

"Because we're obviously so close, you lose everything in terms of the normal studio boundaries,” she went on. "We flow really well, and he leaves a lot of space for people to breathe and be them and do their process." She even hinted that George had a minor role in the production of Brat, her sixth studio album.

Prior to the album's release, she stated on the Spout Podcast, “He's not really all over it, but we’ve got a few ideas in the works,” “It’s funny, I have never sort of been in a relationship with someone that I’ve worked with, so it’s like a whole new dynamic."
