Chris Rock Praises Daughter Zahra’s Acting Talent.
Zahra, the daughter of Chris Rock, has reached adulthood and is carrying on her father's legacy. The 22-year-old and the Grown Ups actor talked about collaborating on the new movie Misty Green, just months after she had her acting debut in the 2026 comedy Roommates.
“He was great. I was a little bit worried about it at first because he's my dad,” at the A24 movie's world debut on October 9 at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, Zahra exclusively informed news reporters. “I didn't know how it was gonna go, but it was a great set. I had an amazing time.”
At that point, Chris, the director and writer of the comedic drama, graciously interrupted his daughter's interview and began praising her.

“It was amazing,” he talked about collaborating with his daughter. “It was incredible.”
“I just saw an actress,” Chris underlined, “and later on that day, she took off her mask and told me it was her.”
The Everybody Hates Chris star, who is the father of Zahra and her 24-year-old daughter Lola with former partner Malaak Compton-Rock, stated that he is "extremely proud" of Zahra and her accomplishments every day.
The graduate of the University of Southern California will shortly add another feature film to her expanding list of accomplishments.
Despite all, Grown Ups 3, which is already in development, will include Zahra alongside her father and the returning cast, which includes Rob Schneider, Kevin James, Adam Sandler, and David Spade.
Regarding the current state of filming, Chris revealed, “Grown Ups 3 is going amazing. I can't wait for everybody to see that.”
The thrilling news of Zahra's casting was actually announced earlier this week by the 61-year-old.
“It’s weird, my kids kind of grew up on those sets,” in a YouTube interview that was released on September 8, Chris informed Variety. “And now my daughter Zahra’s actually going to be in the new one. Yeah, just great times.”
