Christina Applegate shares a "real, raw, honest" Instagram debut as she opens up about her journey with MS.

An unvarnished glimpse into Christina Applegate's personal life is being shared. The Dead to Me alumnus said that she was a little taken aback by the decision, but she saw it as a fresh way to interact with her friends and followers.

“If you told me a year ago that I’d be on Instagram, I would have said, F--k off!” she posted on the platform via October 16. “But here I am, so I’m going to do it my way. Real, raw, honest.”

In addition to the statement, the 53-year-old, who was given a multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2021, posted her “favorite picture of [herself] lately,” a somber black-and-white image of herself looking into the camera while wearing jeans and a white T-shirt.

Several famous friends welcomed the actress, who is the mother of 14-year-old Sadie Grace LeNoble with her husband Martyn LeNoble. Among them, Minka Kelly, stated, "Happy to see you here."

Similarly, Kaitlyn Bristowe responded with a resounding “Hell yes,” while Jamie Lynn Sigler, co-host of Christina’s MeSsy show, added, “Look at this!”

Not long later, the Emmy winner sent a moving video message thanking her new fans for their support.

“I’m not really a selfie person so pardon me,” in an October 17 Instagram Stories post, she added. “Thank you so much for coming onto the Instagram with me. I’ve seen your comments. Thank you so much for the love that you are showing me. I love all of you guys so much and I appreciate you.”

Christina also hinted at her forthcoming memoir, which will be published in March and promises an honest look at her highs and lows.

“I’m excited to share You With the Sad Eyes with everyone because it’s my life—the good, the undesirable, the unsightly, and the middle” she concluded. “Peace and blessings.”
