"What's the blue dot in your ear?" on the November 3 program of Today, she posed the question. "Tell me the story."
Craig explained that his choice to get his ear pierced was the outcome of a nerves-filled outing with his daughter Sybil, 9, to get her ears done.

"My daughter, years ago, she went to go get her ears pierced and she got cold feet," he remembered. "And in a moment of haste, I was like, ‘If I do it, will you do it?’ And she’s like, ‘Yes!’ And I got it, and that's why I have it."
When the morning show host, who shares Sybil and 11-year-old Delano with wife Lindsay Czarniak, concluded the story, Jamie naturally melted.
"Oh, come on!" she screamed. "That's gorgeous."
Craig then changed the topic because, as he pointed out, he was "blushing" at Jamie's compliments. He had already told the tale of his piercing back when it occurred prior to Sybil's 5th birthday.
"It was good for the family," in 2021, he informed Today.com. "It was great bonding."
Craig's recent confessions on Today are not limited to this.
The 46-year-old, who has been on Today since 2018, disclosed that he had never watched Jenna Bush Hager's Today with Jenna & Friends during a recent guest co-hosting appearance.
“This is a nice set,” he stated during the November 3, installment of the daytime series, looking around the studio’s vivid setup. “You know, I’ve never seen the show.”
His disclosure stunned Jenna, 43, who responded, "That is so rude! Did you just hear him say he’s never watched the show?"
Craig acknowledged that he should have done a better job of catching his coworker's act, but he also offered an explanation for his mistake.
"I’m usually in transit,” he clarified. "I could probably watch some of it."
