Emma Stone gave her kid an easy A in life. The Oscar-winning actress talked about her relationship with her 4-year-old daughter Louise Jean, whom she shares with her husband of five years, Dave McCary, as well as other more personal details of her life.
In an August 11 interview with Vogue, Emma said, "There is nothing I feel luckier about." “She’s the greatest gift of my life, for sure.”
Her approach to parenthood while working in Hollywood has also greatly pleased many around her. As friend and co-star of Superbad Martha MacIssac told Vogue, “Motherhood can be so difficult, and she’s handling it with grace.”
“I FaceTimed her during both of my labors,” Martha also said. “Her medical advice is very sound.” The La La Land actress's viewpoint on her acting choices has also changed as a result of being a mother.
Emma said, "It is streamlined everything," and she now gives each role more careful attention, particularly if it calls for time away from Louise. “It’s a clichéd thing to say, but it changes everything. And simplifies everything.”
Although Emma mentioned that it "unlocks different things," she is unsure if being a mother has fundamentally altered how she connects with her emotions as an actress.
“I don’t know if it’s specifically that,” she stated, “but I feel everything I could possibly feel, because everything has exploded.”
The Poor Things actress has made every effort to keep her daughter and her marriage out of the spotlight since giving birth to Louise. However, after winning the 2024 Academy Award for Best Actress, she did give her young kid a heartfelt shoutout.
She thanked her husband and family before sobbing and said, “Most importantly, my daughter, who's going to be 3 in three days and has turned our lives technicolor. I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl."
