GDPR is like Saddam Hussein Election
Quote from Ndubuisi Ekekwe on June 3, 2018, 6:27 PMThis is very interesting: every major U.S. website you are visiting from Europe, you have to accept something. From Twitter to Google, TechCrunch to New York Times, you have only one option: Accept or (NOTHING).In other words, if you do not ACCEPT, you would be prevented from accessing that service.
Can someone explain to me what GDPR, the monster EU privacy regulation, was trying to achieve here? So, you go to Facebook and you have one option which is AGREE TO BE TRACKED or you cannot use Facebook. Is that all? What is the big deal on GDPR if you cannot use the service should you decide not to share your data? For me, it seems like Saddam Hussein "election" with its only one option on the ballot paper: Vote Saddam or go home not voting. Yes, Saddam won 100%.
The Iraqi president, Saddam Hussein, topped his personal best election performance by securing 100% of the vote in yesterday's referendum, election officials said today
Anyway, I am not a fan of draft regulation because those who are always regulating are never those that create, as this table shows!
