One of George Clooney's closest confidants passed away, and he is grieving. Adelia "Ada" Zeidler, the Oscar winner's sister, passed away on December 19 after fighting cancer, he told People. She was sixty-five.
“My sister, Ada, was my hero,” in a statement on December 20, George, 64, told the site. "She faced down cancer with courage and humor. I’ve never met anyone so brave.”
"Amal and I will miss her terribly," the Ocean's Eleven star continued, highlighting Ada's influence on him and his wife Amal Clooney.

Ada "died peacefully surrounded by the people she loved" in Edgewood, Kentucky, according to her obituary. On December 22, there will be a funeral mass.
“A talented artist, she shared her skills as an elementary art teacher at Augusta Independent School for several years,” according to her obituary. “In high school, her academic achievements qualified her to be a National Merit Scholar.”
Ada, who lived in Augusta, Kentucky, but was born in Los Angeles on May 2, 1960, was also involved in her community, participating in a local reading club and being a member of the Augusta Art Guild. According to the obituary, she was also the grand marshal of Augusta's annual White Christmas Parade.
Ada and George remained close over the years, even though Ada often avoided the spotlight. She even explained that she didn't keep his phone number on hand in case it ended up in the wrong hands, giving insight into their distinct communication method.
