Ice Spice is dealing with a frightening incident. The "Did It First" rapper spoke out about the violent encounter two days after being attacked while eating at a Hollywood McDonald's in video that TMZ was able to get hold of.
"This wouldn't happen at a Wendy's," Ice wrote on X on April 17, mocking the altercation on April 15 and including a clip from the video.
The camera film showed Ice (born Isis Naija Gaston) and a companion seated in a booth within the fast-food restaurant when a woman, described by TMZ as Vayah, approached their table and appeared to want to join them.
Ice gestured to the restaurant's entrance, and Vayah then leaned into question whether the New Yorker was originally from California. The rapper in the blue sweatsuit from "Boy's a liar Pt. 2" is then dragged away by a man after Vayah slaps her in the face.
After that, Ice moved from her chair and trailed the woman outside the eatery, where the altercation persisted.
There, the 26-year-old got into a battle with the man who had pulled the assailant away from her, and he said he wanted to fight Ice as well.
“Let me fight her,” in the video, Ice added. “On your mama, let me fight her.”
“Let me fight a b---h,” she continued. “Why would you want to fight me? Are you a b---h? You want to fight a b---h?”
The footage then showed Ice battling her assailant in the middle of the road, exchanging blows until Ice collapsed onto her back.
Ice's representative, her lawyer, and the Los Angeles Police Department have all been contacted by news organizations for comment, but they have not yet received a response.
Bradford Cohen, Ice's lawyer, stressed that the offenders will face legal repercussions after the video was made public.
“The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all criminal and civil avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions,” in a statement released on April 17, Bradford told Billboard. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their apparent lack of appropriate security.”
“Not to mention that the individuals involved obviously did not realize that we would get the video from inside the McDonald’s where the unprovoked attack occurred,” he stated. “They then turned their cameras on after the initial attack as if to set our client up, and as they say on the video to ‘go viral.’”
He went on to say, “The only thing that will be going viral for them is their mugshots.”
