Jessica Simpson discusses a bra wardrobe malfunction that happened during a live TV concert.

The public was made aware of Jessica Simpson's wardrobe malfunction. The singer of "Take My Breath Away" had a minor mistake with her attire, but her boots did all the walking when she took the Today Show stage to perform new music on TV for the first time in fifteen years.

One side of her neckline slid down to show the pink bra padding she wore underneath her strapless, creme-colored, corseted dress, which she wore over her sparkling fringe jacket while singing. Jessica corrected her outfit after realizing her mistake and then laughed about it.

She gestured to her head and the area surrounding her as she said to the Today anchors on July 23, "Of course I had a malfunction here and everywhere, but it is OK." “I think my boobs stayed in, so it’s OK.”

Before her performance, the Newlyweds alumnus also used that "shake it off" mentality to avoid getting nervous. claiming that going back on stage felt "insane."

"Today it was like, ‘Okay, get out of your head. Get out of your head. Who cares if your shoe falls off? Who cares if you forget a lyric?'” In her Today With Jenna & Friends segment, Jessica clarified. “Honestly, it’s just about being able to be up there and be vulnerable and that feels really beautiful."

Her new album Nashville Canyon: Part 1 has songs about her breakup with her ex-husband Eric Johnson, with whom she finalized her divorce in January, and that sensitivity is evident throughout the album.

Regarding her separation, Jessica added, “It’s been almost two years now,” “I thought I was going to be doing this inspirational type of record, and it ended up leaning more towards, ‘How do I get through this moment?’ Because my whole life just completely changed while making this record, and it became something I never would have expected.”

Additionally, the founder of the Jessica Simpson Collection, who has three children with Eric, Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 6—is thrilled about the lessons the surprise album might impart to her children.

“There are blessings in the pain. You can find beauty in the pain,” she also said. “I want my daughters or my son to know that. No matter what we go through in life, nothing can take us down. Nothing. As long as we are who we are and we know our purpose and we’re guided by that.”
