Will JoJo Siwa's true name resurface like a boomerang? After the Dance Moms star changed her TikTok bio from her nickname to her full name, Joelle Siwa, many appear to believe that she may be preparing for a rebranding in the coming year.
In a video posted on December 31, the 22-year-old hinted to her "plans for 2026" while lip-syncing to her 2016 single "Boomerang," saying, "I'mma come back like a boomerang."
Fans' responses to JoJo's update were mixed beneath the video, with many endorsing a possible rebrand.
“Her changing her name from JoJo to Joelle has to be the biggest pull ever!!!” a fan made a comment. “2026 is gonna be crazy!!!”
Another encouraged comment was made, saying, “Joelle feels so authentic, wishing you every happiness in 2026.”
The "Karma" singer's fans weren't all in favor of the adjustment, either. According to one user, “But ‘JoJo’ is literally a brand at this point, you couldn’t pry that name away from me for anything.”
JoJo has made some less-than-subtle adjustments in her life this year, even though she may be soft-launching a new identity. In fact, the two began dating and fell deeply in love after competing on Celebrity Big Brother UK in April with British host Chris Hughes.
“What I realized with Christopher is I never have second guessed my feelings for him,” in June, JoJo informed media outlets. “Therefore, I've never second guessed my happiness, I've never second guessed what I'm feeling. And I think that's the most beautiful thing.”
“When I think about him, I'm full of pure joy,” she added. “When I speak about him, I'm full of pure joy.”
JoJo added that she is "so relaxed" with her current chapter because of the relationship.
“I feel so happy and peaceful that the love that I feel is so real,” she revealed. “You can't really help who you fall in love with.”
JoJo is not the only celebrity to alter their name, though.
