Greetings to the not-so-little relatives of Arnold Schwarzenegger. In fact, 27-year-old Joseph Baena, the youngest son of the Terminator star, has shared on social media his intense fitness quest. He is currently thinking back on the one sport that motivated him to prioritize his health.
When Joseph reflected on his weight loss throughout the years in an Instagram Reel post from July 16, he said, "People sometimes forget that I used to be chubby in high school." “I got cut from my basketball and soccer team because I couldn’t keep up with the other kids. Swim didn’t have tryouts thankfully and completely changed my life forever.”
The bodybuilder claims that this pastime served as his "introduction to fitness and training." Joseph, whose mother is Mildred Baena, is thankful that he discovered swimming at an early age, even if he has recently experimented with other high-intensity sports.
The former Dancing with the Stars contestant went on to say, "Everyone starts somewhere, but starting is the most important." Two years after achieving one of his greatest fitness objectives, participating in his first triathlon. Joseph made his candid post. The realtor gushed on Instagram in October 2023 after winning his first medal.
He commented at the time, "What a great experience it was to compete with such amazing athletes." “With my birthday coming up I wanted to challenge myself in a new way, I feel like I did really well and I’m proud of myself for going the distance. I truly believe that if you have muscles, you should be able to use them.”
Furthermore, he is not the only Arnold family member showing off their strength. After all, Christopher Schwarzenegger, the youngest of Arnold Schwarzenegger's four children with his ex-wife Maria Shriver, has been developing his own fitness regimen for the past six years.
The 27-year-old recently revealed the favorite food item he "gave up" during Lent, a 40-day Christian religious holiday, in order to lose 30 pounds.
At the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in May, he added, “I was like, ‘Well, if I’m giving up bread, I might as well just take the opportunity and I’m a good Catholic boy, so I’m not going to break it,’” “And so I lost 30 pounds just through that.”
