Kevin Federline never gives Britney Spears ex-boyfriend Sam Asghari a second thought. Actually, the former dancer stated he is not particularly worried about the remarks after Sam, who was married to Britney from 2022 until their divorce was completed in 2024, called Kevin a "professional father."
“I’m not too worried about what Sam thinks,” in an interview that was released on September 11, Kevin informed TMZ. "But I do love the tagline 'professional father.’”

"I think every father should aim to be a professional father," the 47-year-old, who was married to Britney from 2005 to 2007, continued.
Sam's first remarks were made soon after it was announced that Kevin will be publishing You Thought You Knew, his memoir, on October 21. According to a press release, the book promises to be a “extremely intimate and transparent” look at his life.
“I achieved my biggest dreams, dealt with crushing heartbreak, and endured constant ridicule,” he went on, “all while becoming the father my children needed as they experienced nonstop emotional turbulence.”
However, Sam clarified that he did not have high expectations for the book.
“He was a professional father,” in August, the 31-year-old made a joke to TMZ. “So, it would be the first book that would tell you how to be a professional father.”
Even after the "Toxic" singer stated in an August Instagram post that it felt "weird me and Sam were married," since it happened during a period when she was separated from her kids, the Traitors alum who started dating Britney in 2016 is more cautious about his relationship with his ex, even though he is happy to make fun of Kevin.
“It almost felt like a fake distraction,” the 43-year-old went on to say, “to help me deal with it.”
Nevertheless, it was much more than that for Sam.
“Our marriage was very real to me," in August, he said to People. "It may have been short, but we were together for seven years. I was in love with her, will always have love for her, and wish her the best always."
