Jess Vestal is currently undergoing recovery. The Love Is Blind alum stated that she was recently hospitalized after she and her 12-year-old daughter Autumn fell ill with serious strains of the flu.

"Friends I've been MIA for the last couple days because the flu wiped our household completely out," Jess said in a Dec. 2 Instagram Story beside a photo of her resting on a bed in a doctor's office. "I've never been so sick in my entire life and that's saying A LOT."

"It's a lot harder for my body to fight off literally anything and I get dehydrated extremely fast," Jess clarified. "After a long trip to the ER, 4.5 bags of fluids and meds, and lots of prayer later... I'm on the mend! But wow that was scary and made me never want to take my health for granted again."

Also, her daughter's sickness presented additional difficulties. As Jess remarked that Autumn had "strep throat and the flu at the same time."

"Thankfully she recovered much more quickly than I did," she added. "Moms know the struggle of taking care of a sick baby while you're also sick and it's not for the faint of heart."

Meanwhile, Jess voiced her disappointment at not being able to take their yearly Thanksgiving pictures together, even though she is pleased that she and her daughter are now in good health.

"My sweet girl has the flu so we're enjoying thanksgiving from my bed this year," the Perfect Match star posted on Instagram November 27 with many "throwbacks" of their past photos. "I'm so grateful for God, my baby, my weenie dog, my family and the most beautiful friends, and this very loving, supportive community on here."

She continued, "I hope you're all taking time to appreciate your blessings and the people around you today."
