The Reasons Nate Bargatze Relocated to Nashville for His 13-Year-Old Daughter Harper.

Nate Bargatze is defending his family. In reality, the comedian disclosed that returning to his hometown of Nashville was primarily motivated by his daughter Harper, whom he shares with his wife Laura Bargatze.
"We live in a great neighborhood,” in an interview published on February 28, Nate, 46, informed People. “We're in a cul-de-sac. No one who's really in entertainment [lives] there. It's people who have regular jobs, our friends."
To keep Harper away from the glamour and dazzle of show business, the 2025 Emmys host "specifically moved home" so the youngster might have an "average" childhood.
"She’s not around this," he added. "She knows I do it and I have her introduce me in my specials. So, she sees sights of it, but overall, she's going to school [and living a normal life]."
However, "it's on her own" if Harper ever wants to pursue a career in entertainment, according to Nate. "It's her call."
Additionally, several celebrities have spoken out about their choice to leave Los Angeles, including Nate. After all, Chris Hemsworth recently revealed the reasons behind his family's decision to relocate permanently to Australia.
“It was right around the time my boys were born and we kind of were set up in L.A. and not enjoying it, you know?” he stated this in the Smartless podcast's February 23 episode before admitting that his work schedule frequently required him to travel outside of the city anyhow. “Like, nothing was shooting there. We were filming kind of everywhere else.”

The Avengers actor disclosed that the pair was also worried about privacy. He and his wife, Elsa Pataky, have 13-year-old daughter India Rose and 11-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan.
“And then we’d come home and [there’d be] paparazzi,” Chris continued, "and all the sort of trappings of living in that space.”
The Extraction star's life has never been more tranquil since making the major move more than ten years ago.
“You know when you come back from work, you wanna go on a holiday?” he stated. “Like, coming home for me, it feels like a holiday. We have a big farm and horses and motorbikes and surf.”
The actor from Snow White and the Huntsman also talked about how the move was motivated by his own Australian childhood with siblings Luke and Liam Hemsworth.
“We lived about 20 minutes from the main sort of suburban areas in Melbourne up in the hills,” the 42-year-old clarified. “And the nearest neighbor was a kilometer or two away.”
“It was just all bushland and rainforest sort of set up around us,” he went on to say. “And so, we would just [have] outdoors adventures and play different characters.”
