Macaulay Culkin clears up longstanding rumors about the 1990 Home Alone movie during his August 7 appearance on Hot Ones.
Macaulay Culkin is spilling on-set secrets like it is Christmas. The star of Home Alone has addressed some of the long-standing mysteries about the 1990 visuals, such as how he used his improv abilities.
Indeed, Macauley acknowledged that the famous statement, "You guys give up? Or are you thirsty for more?" was not anything he improvised, even though a lot of spectators speculated that he had.
"Not that one," he stated when he appeared on the Hot Ones show airing on August 7. “That was in the script.”

However, the 44-year-old, who has two kids, Carson, and Dakota, with partner Brenda Song, did admit that parts of the conversation during Kevin McCallister's trip to the store was spontaneous.
“When I was at the grocery store, it’s like, ‘Where are your parents?’ ‘Why won’t you tell me?’ And I said, ‘Because you’re a stranger,’” Macaulay went on. “That one was mine. I did a lot of that kind of stuff.”

Additionally, Buzz's room's Playboy magazine was jerry-rigged to accomplish a gag while also protecting the child. “Because I was 9 years old, they pretty much glued all the rest of those pages together.” Macaulay stated.
A funny misunderstanding ensued when Macaulay mistook the stunt double of the former member of the Righteous Gemstones, Larry Nicholas, for a 13-year-old.
“My memory of Larry: He’s climbing the shelf, trying to reach the thing on top, and the whole shelf collapsed. It was vicious that first take,” Macaulay remember. “They do it again and there’s another take and just boom. And they do it again, and they do it again, and I’m going, ‘Please take it easy on Larry! He’s only 13 years old!’”
