Never Have I Ever’s Maitreyi Ramakrishnan Shares How Devi Could Return.
Devi Vishwakumar has not... risen from the end.? Maitreyi Ramakrishnan disclosed what it would take to revive her Never Have I Ever character, even tho she maintains that she died during the 4th and final series.
"She's dead," at Netflix's End of Summer Bash on August 13, she started in an exclusive interview with media outlets. "I'm not saying this to give anyone hope—don't do selective listening right now, viewers at home—if the right script and the right time in everyone's life occurred and all the stars lined up, sure. But that hasn't happened yet."
The 24-year-old, who is appearing in the Netflix film Best of the Best, which debuts on September 18, has not entirely ruled out a comeback to the Mindy Kaling universe. However, she continued, "I don't foresee it happening anytime soon."

Ramakrishnan underlined that her admiration for the series is the source of her emotions.
"I just love Devi so much," she described the too enthusiastic adolescent who is juggling high school and mourning. "I truly am a fan of the show. I would never want to do anything that compromises the beautiful story that we made, that truly made history in the YA genre but was also a really heartfelt story that means a lot to people."
"I don't want to rush into another version of the story for a check because I really love Devi and everyone involved with the show," she added. "I want to do it right. So that's my way of encapsulating that all into: 'So Devi's dead.'"
Ramakrishnan is leaving Sherman Oaks to spend her remaining adolescent years in Seattle. She will play Sam Reed in the second season of Elle, after all.
"Sam Reed is the evil doppelganger to Elle Woods—evil, but a doppelganger," she described the title figure, Lexi Minetree. "Same, same, but different. I will stir up the pot. A lot, a lot of things will happen."
