Nicole Kidman's financial situation with Keith Urban is being revealed by her divorce papers. The Oscar winner formally filed for divorce on September 30, one day after it was confirmed that the couple had separated after 19 years of marriage. The couple cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split and provided a Parenting Plan that included information about their income.
As per documents obtained by news outlets, Nicole's attorney created a Child Support Worksheet that was included in the custody agreement for daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. It said that Nicole and Keith earn $100,000 a month each.
Though Forbes recently estimated her income to be even higher, their large salaries should not come as a surprise. Nicole was named the eighth highest paid star of 2024 and the highest paid actress, earning $31 million from her roles in the movies Babygirl and A Family Affair, as well as the television series The Perfect Couple and Lioness and Expats.
Keith will not receive any of it, though, as the divorce documents stated that neither the singer of "Long Hot Summer" nor the actress from Moulin Rouge would be providing "any sum and/or type of alimony or spousal support to the other." Additionally, the ex-couple has decided not to pay child support; the total sum that both parties have ordered to help with childcare is zero dollars.
Regarding the custody arrangements, Nicole, 58, requested to be the "primary residential parent," living with Sunday and Faith for 306 days a year and Keith, 57, for 59 days. Weeks ago, both celebrities approved the Parenting Plan.
Additionally, Nicole is accustomed to having her teenagers accompany her on her global filming trips, even if family home base is Nashville. Her children have already lived in France, Australia, England, Scotland, Ireland, Vietnam, and Hong Kong due to their job schedules.
“I'm willing to travel, which a lot of people are not,” in 2024, she informed L'Officiel. “My kids are willing to travel… maybe less so now [that they’re older], but they're very interested in the world, too. They say they've got so many stamps on their passport, more than most people that are in their eighties.”
News outlets discovered shortly after the couple's split was confirmed that, although the two had been living apart since the start of the summer, Keith was the one who ended the relationship while Nicole was actively trying to keep it going.
Shortly after the news, the Grammy winner and Paddington actress's prior social media activity was viewed in a different light. In June, Nicole shared a picture of the couple on Instagram to commemorate their 19th wedding anniversary, while Keith only left a heart emoji as a comment.
In July, the couple attracted attention when Nicole, who is also the mother to Bella Cruise, 32, and Connor Cruise, 30, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, applied to live in Portugal without mentioning Keith.
The exclusion, according to a knowledgeable source who spoke to news outlets at the time, was only the result of a schedule conflict: "Keith was unable to be in Portugal for this appointment as he is currently on tour in the U.S."
“It is mandatory for applicants to be physically present in order to apply for the visa,” a source was stated. “He is scheduled to submit his application at a later date that works with his tour schedule."
