Nicole Kidman is talking about a significant shift in her life. After 19 years of marriage, the Oscar winner and Keith Urban formalized their split in January. The actress made her first public remarks about the split, stating that she is "all right."

"I am, because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good," on March 11, she informed Variety. "What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect."

Nicole stressed that she is still committed to coparenting their two girls, Faith Margaret, 14, and Sunday Rose, 17.

"I’m staying in a place of, 'We are a family,'" she observed, "and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women."

Nicole filed for divorce from Keith in September, only one day after news outlets discovered that they had been living apart "since the beginning of the summer." Nicole is also the mother of Isabella Cruise, 32, and Connor Cruise, 30, with ex-Tom Cruise.

According to documents obtained by media organizations at that point, the couple finalized their divorce three months later and decided on a custody arrangement for their children, with the Big Little Lies star spending 306 days a year with their daughters and the "One Too Many" singer spending every other weekend with them.

Additionally, there were some aspects of Nicole and Keith's divorce that they could agree on. In actuality, there was no official discovery or interrogation because both parties decided to resolve the divorce case amicably.

“Each party indicates that he or she does not want to proceed with formal discovery," the records said, "including completing interrogatories and requests for production of documents, or discovery depositions, that are designed to discover assets and debts.”

Even though Nicole and Keith, both 58, have never discussed their divorce in public, the Perfect Couple actress has previously shared details about their union.

Nicole acknowledged that they occasionally found it most difficult to get through the most important times in their relationship.

"Real love happens not when everything is going well but when things are going badly," in 2019, she gave an explanation to People. "It's when human beings come together, if they're going to, in a far deeper way. You're then having to work together, and the 'together' is what it's about."
