Olivia Culpo opens up about experiencing an identity crisis after welcoming her first baby, Colette McCaffrey.

After the birth of her baby, Olivia Culpo had to reevaluate her identity. Following the birth of her first child, Colette McCaffrey, in July, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model acknowledged that she experienced a "little bit of an identity crisis."

Olivia stated that she was concerned that becoming a mother would make it impossible for her to continue her work.

"There's totally a shift," in the October 15 episode of The Squeeze podcast, the 33-year-old talked about becoming a parent. "Whether or not you want there to be or not, you have somebody that's physically dependent on you. So, I'm not going to sugarcoat it: Yeah, it's scary."

However, Olivia also mentioned that she has long had a laser-like focus on her career.

"I'm just kind of a worry wart that way, like I'm very ambitious," she stated. "But it's very common."

Fortunately, the former Miss Universe who married Christian in June 2024 has a network of support that has enabled her to manage her career goals and her duties as a mother to her 2-month-old daughter, Colette.

"I'm so grateful that I have my husband because while I'm totally working and I'm doing everything in my power to keep working and I'm so happy to have the opportunities that I have," Olivia revealed, "let's say they all went away—would I have the same ability [without his support] 10, 12, 15, 20 years ago to light that fire up my butt when I have somebody who really needs me, which is my baby? No."

She also said, "And I would choose my baby 10 times over obviously."

Olivia is enjoying every moment of raising her child, even the vulnerable ones.

"It's been so fun," she exclaimed. "Every day is so different and I'm really just trying to sit in because I know it goes by so fast. Everybody says these are the days that go by quicker than you could have ever imagined."

Fortunately, Olivia has had some more time to adjust to her new situation as Colette enters a new chapter.

"She's starting to become so much easier, sleeping through the night, not waking up every two hours," the Culpo Sisters alum stated. "I really have the opportunity to be grounded and still in each moment."
