Presley Gerber is concerned about his health. The son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber presented a detailed overview of his mental health struggle and the many drugs he is taking to manage his challenges.
“I've had a lot of loss in many different forms recently,” he stated this in a clip uploaded on Instagram December 1. “That is not an excuse, but it's the reason—or part of—why I am where I'm at now.”
The model revealed that he currently takes a number of drugs, such as buprenorphine, a prescription used to treat opiate abuse and pain, and valium. Although he acknowledged that he didn't "have as much direction" on his dosages as he would have liked, he also talked about taking Xanax "when the panic attacks are really, really bad."
“Every psychiatrist I've had—and I've had, like, 15—they're all like, ‘Here's 20 medications,’” he clarified. “‘Take this if you feel like this, take this as needed.’ And I'm like, ‘No, don't give me that much leeway. I need some direction.’”
Presley, 26, also disclosed that he’s largely given up drinking in recent years, saying that alcohol “is no longer serving” him. Also, he stated that he was reevaluating his inner group in an effort to surround himself with “good influences.”
“I've grown up in Hollywood, and there's a lot of people around that I love to death,” he went on, “but right now, I try not to be around them.”
As Presley kept on moving ahead, he expressed his desire to use what he has learned to assist others.
“I'm hoping this reaches people in many ways, so you feel like you're not alone, because that is how I feel most of the time,” he revealed. “I have a feeling if I say all of this, a lot of people will at least know that there's someone else going through it.”
In a similar vein, Presley discussed his battle with depression and his dedication to increasing mental health awareness in 2023.
“It's a 24/7 job, and there's so much to it,” he stated on the Studio 22 podcast at that point in time. “That’s really what I want to do—help people, whether you're depressed, you're struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. It could be anything, and there's no judgment.”
