Queen Latifah denies death hoax and affirms that she is "100 percent A-OK."

No death hoax will continue to exist thanks to Queen Latifah. The Equalizer actress refuted an online claim that she had passed away earlier this week by stating that she is still alive and well.

“Good morning. It’s me, Latifah,” on March 5, the 55-year-old posted a video on her Instagram account. “I’m 100 percent A-OK.”

She kissed the camera and continued, “Can’t believe what you read on the internet or see. Can’t believe nothing now, right? I’m good. Peace.”

Queen Latifah (actual name Dana Elaine Owens) has been transparent about her goal to live a healthy lifestyle even if she isn't currently dealing with any health problems. The artist, who has a son named Rebel with her long-term boyfriend Eboni Nichols, actually previously disclosed that she needed to make certain adjustments to maintain her optimal health.

“There were certain ways I wanted to feel—if I wanted to feel healthier, get in shape, drop some pounds, get stronger—there were changes I had to make in order to do that,” the vocalist of "U.N.I.T.Y." informed The Healthy in June of last year. “I’m also someone who needed to learn about health.”

“There were certain habits I had growing up that were normal in my family that I had to retrain myself from—cutting back on salt, for instance,” she clarified. “Salty foods were a normal thing. And when I moved to [Los Angeles] to do Living Single at 23 years old, I began to eat differently.”

The Grammy winner's family's battle with obesity and cardiovascular illness also influenced her choice to alter her lifestyle.

In her words, “Watching it affects my own family has been difficult. Losing family members to the effects of obesity is really tough. I know how important it can be when someone takes a new approach to their health and how much it can impact others in a positive way.”

Queen Latifah is maintaining consistency in her other self-care activities while continuing to focus her food habits and heart health.

“I think baths is one of the things I definitely have to do, because I do a lot of really physical work—I have, at least for the last five years—and I need them to reset,” she revealed. “Walking is very important to me, just to clear my head, get the endorphins going, make myself feel happier.”

She also lists prayer and meditation as essential practices.

“I’ve got to stop and pray. And when I start to pray, I realize I talk myself into releasing all the things that are not in my control, and that helps me calm down,” she stated. “There’s freedom in not trying to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. Just knowing it’s going to be OK. The sun’s going to rise tomorrow.”
