According to Basketmouth, who is also a producer and actor, Shatta Wale did not charge him any fee for the collaboration. He said he reached out to the singer through a mutual friend and they recorded the song in Accra. He praised Shatta Wale for his talent and generosity, saying he is one of the best artists in Africa.
Shatta Wale also expressed his appreciation for Basketmouth and his album, saying he was honored to be part of it. He said he enjoyed working with the comedian and hoped to do more projects with him in the future. He urged his fans to support 'Uburu'.
'Uburu' is Basketmouth's second album, following his debut 'Yabasi' in 2020. The album is a soundtrack for his comedy series 'Papa Benji', which airs on YouTube. The album features other artists such as Flavour, Phyno, Oxlade, Peruzzi and Ill Bliss.
