Sasha Aoki and Steve Aoki are excited about their new jobs. The pair announced the arrival of their newborn boy, Rocky Aoki, six months after the DJ and Columbia University alumnus, who married in July 2024, revealed they were expecting their first child together.

On July 25, they shared a picture of their newborn's feet on Instagram along with the caption, “Rocky77 has arrived!”. “We’re so in love with him already.” Steve and Sasha expressed how important their son's birthday is to them.

“Even more special is that we get to celebrate our son’s birth on the same day as our wedding anniversary,” they included. “Surprise arrival, he came out on his own time already writing his first chapter of life. Let the adventures begin!”

During a performance in Dubai in January, the 47-year-old announced their pregnancy, bringing Sasha up on stage for the "special moment" when they revealed the sex of their unborn child.

He announced to the audience at the time, "This is my wife, and we are having a baby," according to People. "We're going to find out if it's a boy or if it's a girl.” As smoke and confetti spilled into the air, Sasha proceeded to smear the dessert in Steve's face as a few crew members brought out a cake with their last name written in both pink and blue lettering.

"It is a boy," Steve affirmed. "We have a little boy." He later referred to their confection as “the most important cake of my life.” in a social media post. Given that the seasoned DJ has previously discussed the significance of his passion, Steve and Sasha's mid-show disclosure should not be shocking.

In 2022, he told Billboard, "I still have the thirst." “I still have the enthusiasm, and with music, there’s no greater energy force. There’s no greater high than playing your records at your show in front of a crowd that knows your music and everyone’s just f--king lit up. Like, there’s nothing greater than that.”

Despite having already conquered stages around the world and breaking records—like DJing 209 shows in a single year—he made it clear he's still hungry for the euphoric connection he gets with his audience.
