The true story of how Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga made amends after a 15-year feud.
Family, notably her brother Joe Gorga, is Teresa Guidice's top priority. The Real Housewives of New Jersey actress revealed how her 24-year-old daughter Gia Guidice influenced her choice to make amends with her sister-in-law and sibling Melissa Gorga after their long-running spat.
"I reached out to him after I was on Special Forces," during BravoCon 2025 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on November 15, Teresa disclosed in an exclusive interview. "She wanted me to let go of the past with her dad. As a mom, we have to be good role models for our children and I'm always a mom first."
The reality star's thoughts started to go to other tense relationships in her life. She also has daughters with her ex-husband Joe Giudice, Gabriella Guidice, 21, Milania Guidice, 19, and Audriana Guidice, 16.

"When I thought about my husband and letting the past go, I thought about my brother," she clarified. "I want my brother back in my life. I came home and then I reached out to him. As soon as I reached out to him, he, of course, responded."
How did their face-to-face reunion go?
"It felt like I was with my brother," Teresa remembered. "We talked about things. He didn't even really want to talk about anything, but I just don't want the same thing to happen again."
When it came to their families, she knew that Joe, who has a daughter named Antonia, age 20, sons Gino, age 18, and Joey Jr., age 15, with Melissa, would support her while they healed their own relationship.
"He always tells me I'm the matriarch of the family, so he said, 'You take the lead, and I'll be right there with you,'" she pointed out. "I love that 'cause I'm all about family."
Teresa is glad to have everyone on board, stating, "I want Melissa in my life, my nephews, my niece."
She underlined that there is always hope for the future as the Giudice-Gorga family works to mend their relationship.
"Life's too short, so if you have a brother or sister, make sure that if you don't speak to them, that you reach out to them," Teresa informed the fans. "Sometimes things happen in life, but you have to let the past go. Talk about it and then let it go."
