She also playfully defended Owens, asking fans not to criticize him for the mistake, emphasizing that it was a good choice in the end. The couple, who had an intimate courthouse wedding in Texas before a larger celebration in Cabo, Mexico, will have another chance to coordinate their outfits at the upcoming 2025 Met Gala, where they plan to embrace the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” with different designers.
"We're using two totally different designers," she said of their outfits for the May 5 fashion event. "So, that will be interesting to see how it comes together. We're trying to be still cohesive and still on brand with the theme of the night, but I'm really excited about it."
And though Simone and Jonathan have "seen each other's looks," the Olympian confessed that she's still narrowing down the specifics of hers.
"It is a custom dress," Simone was able to tease. "But I have two options right now that we're teetering back and forth with."
