Tom Holland opens up about his experience of suffering a head injury while filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Tom Holland's health is improving. The 29-year-old provided an update on his health one week after sustaining a minor concussion on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth Spider-Man movie, in Glasgow, Scotland. He also provided a recap of a charity event hosted by his non-profit organization, The Brothers Trust, in London.

“I’m sorry I had to leave early but I’m feeling better and, on the mend,” on September 27, Tom posted a highlight video of the fundraiser to Instagram. “A huge thanks to my Dad for taking over after I left. The show got considerably funnier.”

The day after the Marvel star's injury on September 19, Tom's fiancé Zendaya, their costar Jacob Batalon, and his parents and brothers Sam, Harry, and Paddy Holland were among those present.

Tom has been outspoken about how "over the moon" he is to be back in his spidey suit, especially given the limitations of the last film. However, his concussion forced him to temporarily step away from filming the new Spider-Man movie, which also stars Liza Colón-Zayas from The Bear and Sadie Sink from Stranger Things.

"Playing Spider-Man is like hanging out with an old pal," In July, he stated to, Flip Your Wig. "I think we were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie because of Covid. We shot the entire film on stages."

"Now, we're really gonna lean into that old-school filmmaking and shoot in real locations, which is why we're starting in Glasgow and we're gonna use the streets of Glasgow to build this massive set-piece that we're putting together," he went on. "So, it's gonna feel like making Spider-Man 1 again."

Even though Tom has played Peter Parker before, he has acknowledged that this new film feels unique.

"It's funny, putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow," last month, he stated this in a behind-the-scenes video posted to the film's official Instagram. "It's also the first time we ever had fans on set day one, so it's really exciting to share this with them."

Finally, he said, "We've got some familiar faces on set. I'm just going to do my best, hopefully get it right, no pressure."
